At Crosfields, digital learning is integrated into every stage of a child’s education, from Nursery through to Seniors. Digital literacy, including an understanding of artificial intelligence, is embedded across the curriculum to ensure pupils are prepared for a rapidly evolving technological world. Children are encouraged to explore digital tools in a safe and structured environment, learning not only what technology can do, but how to use it responsibly.
A whole-school approach
Our digital strategy supports pupils from the very beginning of their learning journey. In Nursery and Pre-Prep, children use iPads to enrich their learning through creative, purposeful activities designed to build confidence and curiosity. They also learn about respectful and safe technology use through age-appropriate e-safety teaching.
In the Junior and Senior School, pupils access a broad range of digital platforms and tools. Teachers receive regular training to ensure a consistent and progressive learning experience across the school.
Responsible and transparent AI use
For pupils aged 13 and above, we have developed a bespoke Crosfields AI Task Scale that supports appropriate, transparent, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in learning. This helps pupils and teachers understand where AI can enhance learning, while maintaining academic integrity.
An adaptive and engaging digital curriculum
Our digital curriculum evolves as pupils grow, introducing foundational digital literacy before progressing to more complex skills. Whether coding in Computing, creating digital artwork, or carrying out interactive digital experiments, pupils gain hands-on experience that enriches learning across subjects.
We also emphasise balance. Pupils learn to recognise when to step away from screens and explore how digital connectivity can affect wellbeing.
Modern facilities and tools
Classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and a wide range of educational software. These upgraded facilities help ensure that learning is engaging, collaborative, and relevant to the digital challenges pupils will face in the future.
Empowering responsible digital citizens
Digital learning at Crosfields extends beyond technical capability. We focus on developing pupils’ understanding of digital ethics, security, and safe online behaviour. Through guided exploration, coding clubs, and structured e-safety lessons, pupils learn to become confident, responsible digital citizens.
Supporting staff and families
Teachers receive ongoing professional development to stay at the forefront of digital education. Our digital platforms also strengthen communication across the school community, enabling collaboration that extends beyond the classroom.
Join us on our digital journey
