Fee Support & Bursaries

At Crosfields, we believe that a child’s potential should never be limited by financial circumstance. Our bursary provision reflects our commitment to innovation, opportunity and diversity, ensuring that talented pupils can thrive within our community regardless of their family’s financial background.

Our means-tested bursaries are available from Reception to Year 11 for pupils who have the ability to flourish at Crosfields but would be unable to join the school without financial support. Each application is assessed individually and reviewed regularly so that awards remain fair, transparent and responsive to changing family circumstances.

We aim to make the application process clear, respectful and accessible. Families apply through a secure digital platform that allows information to be shared confidentially and efficiently. Every application undergoes a detailed financial assessment that considers income, assets and wider context to ensure support is directed where it will have the greatest impact. Our approach is reviewed often to reflect best practice and is aligned with research-informed strategies that promote pupil wellbeing and long-term success.

Bursaries play an important role in widening access to the full Crosfields experience. Fee support enables pupils to benefit from our all-through education, specialist teaching, excellent facilities and broad curriculum. Guided by our philosophy of teaching to the top and scaffolding up, all pupils are challenged and supported to achieve their best—whatever their starting point. Those receiving bursaries are fully immersed in school life and encouraged to explore their interests with confidence and ambition.

Crosfields fees are inclusive of many elements that make the school distinctive, such as curriculum-linked trips and residentials, lunch, textbooks, stationery, co-curricular activities and personal accident insurance. Parents typically cover uniforms, travel and optional extras like individual music lessons. In some cases, additional support—such as access to a laptop—may be included as part of a bursary award.

Beyond supporting individual pupils, our bursary programme enriches the cultural and social diversity of Crosfields. Welcoming families from a wide range of financial backgrounds helps foster belonging, mutual respect and broader perspectives, ensuring our community reflects the wider world. This diversity strengthens the learning experience for all pupils and prepares them to thrive in an interconnected global society.

Over 5% of Crosfields pupils currently benefit from bursary support, and families consistently describe the impact as life-changing. By offering fee support, Crosfields invests not only in individual talent but also in the future richness and resilience of our whole community.
